As Brenda relaxed in her chair the to watch the training DVD the music playing in the background was the same in her head phones when Domi did her makeup. Domi came on the screen and said change is good embrace change accept change beauty is change. As Brenda watched the DVD Domi walked around the salon saying the same thing, change is good embrace change accept change beauty is change. The music was so relaxing and Domi’s voice was so confident and soothing, as Brenda slowly fell off to sleep she was mouthing the mantra, change is good embrace change accept change beauty is change.
Brenda woke up around 2pm she hasn’t slept that long since college, but she felt great, she had a job and things where changing for the better. As Brenda said that to herself the word change bounced around in her head, Change is good she said out loud. Brenda jumped in the shower and got ready to catch the bus down to the salon for day 2 well really day one. As she dried off she looked in the bathroom mirror and saw herself with no makeup on. She thought to herself wow how plain am I? We need to change that; I need to embrace some change in my life.
It was just 4:00 when she walked in and was greeted at the door by Domi. Again Brenda was amazed on how beautiful Domi was and was there ever a chance she could be that beautiful that day, but in a normal way I think. She was snapped out of her little daydream by Domi’s voice. So are you ready to change that plain Jane look of yours to something more suitable. Brenda said yes lets do it. Domi asked Brenda what would you like to do today as a look goes. Brenda had no clue she has never thought about it. Well you’re the expert so do what you do best. Domi smiled and said I plan to and more. Brenda laid back in the makeup chair placed the headphones on and relaxed.
As Brenda lay there she felt Domi primping and rubbing all over her face. She spent a long time on her eyebrows and felt some tugging but she was so relaxed she just laid there and let the pro do her work. A little later her hands where lifted and massaged it felt so good she did want who ever to stop. Soon it was over and Domi was again waking her up from a blissful dreamy state. I say you look better today than yesterday what do you think? Brenda sat up and looked in the mirror, this time looking right at herself and again was blown away. She looked like a girl from the future, lots of silver with touches of blue, Her lips where so shiny she would have bet they where made of glass. As she checked out her face she now saw her eyebrow where dramatically thinner than when she sat down. My eyebrows there gone, don’t be silly I just clean them up for you, they where pretty thick now they fit your new face don’t you just love the change? Change rang in her head and all she could do is nod.
Candice was standing behind her and said you look great I hope you like your nails I picked the color to match your lips. Brenda looked down and saw a new set of 1” long nails painted a silvery blue. Brenda was a lost for words her eyebrows and now her nails, what am I doing here? Domi took her by the hand and they went around the corner to see Suzy. Suzy said she looked awesome and the nails are super hot. Sit down and let me fix your hair for you. Brenda was a little worried but sat down as Domi whispered in her ear you look great change is good. Brenda relaxed and Suzy got started styling her hair. Brenda was spun around ad Suzy said well what do you think? Brenda now sported a faux hawk style with small pieces falling around her face. Brenda said that is so cool, she was worried that she would now have blue or black or something colored hair but Suzy just worked with what she had. As she looked at herself and how far she has come in 2 days Suzy said a great cut and some color would be a good change for you. Brenda nodded her head and said maybe.
At the counter the first client of the day came in. Her name was Kitty and I’m sure that was not her given name but a name that described her current look. Her hair was long and straight and was black with wide alternating blonde highlights like a tiger. Her makeup was done in a dramatic cat eye look and her lips where as black as can be. Hi I’m here to see Tabatha. Brenda could have sworn that Kitty had fangs of some sort. Brenda said have a seat and I will page her. When Tabatha came from the back she said hey Kitty Kitty, are you ready to let more of the cat in you out? Kitty said Oh please and followed Tabatha back to her studio. As Brenda was about to close the clients file she noticed a tab that said process. Brenda clicked on the tab and saw a series of pictures of Kitty from her first visit to now. Blonde blue eyed surfer girl to a tattooed cat girl. Brenda couldn’t believe the change, embrace change she heard in her head and shut the file.
Brenda thought that it would be hard to work with her new long nail but found it amazingly simple. Why didn’t I get my nails done in the past I need to be open to new things I need to accept more change in my life maybe some color would be a good thing. I will need to talk to Suzy later. Brenda was amazed on how many clients they had and all of them as unique and stunning as Kitty, each with a file with a process tab with pics of their transformation. The most stunning of the day was a tall lady named Linda who at first I thought she was wearing black latex shoulder length gloves, but as she got to the desk I saw that they where not gloves but full sleeve tattoos, all black, wow I said out loud and Linda said thank you. 3 hours later Linda walked back out from seeing Suzy and Tabatha, all her hair was gone and her now smooth head was fully tattooed like she had a latex hood of some kind. Linda stopped at the front desk and asked me what I thought and I said amazing, Linda smiled and handed Brenda a card that read sensual massage and training, call me and left.
The end of the shift was almost over and Brenda still was thinking what did I get myself into and what will be next for me. She asked Suzy if maybe she could add some color to liven up her hair and Suzy said it would be your pleasure. Brenda said goodbye to the girls and walked down to the bus. On the way home she started thinking. All the clients are girls, at least to day they where and all have been dramatically transformed from how they looked to begin with. They must have embraced change, accepted change, change is good, beauty is change.
Finally home Brenda got comfy and popped the 2nd DVD in the player. The music started and Domi started to speak. Now that you know about the salon experience lets explore the inner you the you that no body sees the you that is screaming to get out. What is your vision of you?
