Sam walked into her house after her last haircut, and noticed the message light on the answering machine flashing. She pressed the playback button, and immediately recognized the voice on the other line. It was her mother. "Uh Oh," Sam said to herself. She sure hoped that her mom wasn't calling to say that they would be back early. He mom said, "Hi Honey. Your dad and I are leaving California in about two hours. Your dad got called to meet with a rich developer in Florida, and he needs me to go with him. He is apparently in the process of building a large resort in Aruba, and is very interested in purchasing watercraft from your dad's company. The man and his wife are only in the states for about four more days, and want to talk to your father. So I'm sorry to have to do this to you, but I know that you'll be fine for a few more days. Mrs. Howell is going to stop by later this afternoon to pick up some more clothes for your sisters, so it would help her if you could pack everything for them. If you need anything, you can call her. I will call you as soon as we arrive in Miami. I have to warn you, if this deal goes through, they might want your father and I to go to their resort to make the plans for the deal, which could take up to two weeks. Your dad is probably going to have to do some special designing to make one of a kind boats for these people, but this man was talking about buying billions of dollars worth of boats from your dad, so this is an offer that he can't pass up. It is very important that I am with him when he makes this deal. I'm so sorry about dropping all this on you, I hate to leave you all alone. If we do end up going to Aruba though, I will call Mrs. Dennis and see if you can stay with them until I come back, but you and I will talk about it later. Love you lots Sam!" He mom said then hung up the phone. A sigh of relief fell over Sam. Two weeks would be plenty of time to do something about her hair. She thought about it while she packed stuff for her sisters and set it out by the front door with a not attached for Mrs. Howell.

A few hours later, after Mrs. Howell had picked up the stuff for Sam's sisters, Sam sat down and ordered a pizza. Then she called Matt over. When Matt arrived, they relaxed on the living room couch together. Matt couldn't stop rubbing her freshly shaved nape. The events of that morning were still playing back in his head. Sam wondered what her friends were going to think of the new her when they saw her at the end of the summer. She wondered what everyone at Camp would say. She wondered what she was going to do when Matt left for college, and she no longer had him to be supportive of her short hair. She knew that no one her age would like her hair short, and she would be teased. She might not even get to cheer. As much as she loved her hair short and shaved, she knew that the only way she would survive her junior year was if she grew her hair out again. And to make matters worse, she only had about six weeks to do it. Her hair grew fast, but there was no way that it would be long by the time fall rolled around. She would be lucky if her hair was to her earlobes. Her nape would not be long enough, that was for sure. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the doorbell. "Pizza's here," Sam said to Matt, as she handed him a twenty and asked him to go to the door. "What kind of gentleman lets his girl pay for dinner?" Matt said as he pushed the twenty back into Sam's hand and took out his own wallet. Sam giggled, "You're the best Matt," as she walked to the kitchen to grab plates and napkins. Then she pulled a couple of cokes out of the fridge and took a seat on the stool. Matt joined her a minute later and opened up the pizza. They both dug in hungrily, and finished the whole pizza off. When they were done, they went back to the couch and laid down together. After an hour of watching TRL, Sam and Matt decided that they wanted to go for a dip in her pool. He drove to his house and got his swimsuit and towel, while Sam put on her pool blue sequined bikini, grabbed a towel, and walked to the back patio. When Matt got back from his house, Sam was sitting in a beach chair. Matt ran over and picked her up. Not realizing it was Matt at first, she screamed. Then she giggled, "Matt you scared me." Matt laughed. Then he ran over to the deep end of the pool and jumped into the water, still holding onto Sam. The feeling of cold water on her freshly shaved skin sent chills up her spine. As she came up for air, she saw Matt swimming underneath her. She squealed as she felt him ticking her feet. He slowly caressed her legs, then moved his hands to her hips, and finally they made their way to Sam's nape, where he massaged gently, then came up and pulled Sam under the water, and gave her a passionate kiss. They kissed for as long as they could hold their breath, then came up for air together. They stood by the side of the pool, and stared at each other. Then Matt gently stroked Sam's cheek, brushing her hair out of the way, so he could kiss her again. His hand cradled Sam's head as they kissed. Sam loved the way his gentle touch caressed her sensitive shaved skin. She had an orgasm as he gently kissed her nape, as he massaged where it was shaved. She her nipples became hard as she saw Matt's penis erecting under the clear blue water. They kissed in the cool water for another hour, then decided to rent a movie and chill inside for the rest of the night. Matt went back home to put his clothes back on, then drove to the Blockbuster and got a couple of movies. Sam put her clothes back on and made some popcorn. When Matt came back, he and Sam snuggled under a blanket on the leather couch in Sam's basement, and watched Titanic. By the time the movie was over Sam had fallen asleep on Matt's chest. Matt knew that he couldn't just stay there all night. His parents would go crazy. So he gently lifted Sam's head off of his lap, and walked upstairs to call his mom. Matt dialed his phone number and after a few rings, his mom picked up the phone. "Hi honey. Are you still at Sam's?" She asked in a sleepy voice. "Yeah, but listen, her parents have been out of town for a few days, and aren't going to be back for more than two weeks, so I wanted to stay with her, just for tonight probably, so that she's not here all by herself." "Oh, that's so sweet of you Matthew. It is so nice that you are willing to keep an eye out for Sam like this." She said. She obviously still thought that the two of them were still just 'buds.' Then she said, "why don't you bring here over here tomorrow, and she can stay with us until her parents come home?" "Uh, maybe," Matt said, trying to come up with an excuse for him to stay there until her parents came back. "Well, I think that Sam wants to stay here for now, she's old enough to take care of herself. I think that she just wanted me to stay with her tonight because we were watching the news a while ago and there was a big story on some guy escaping from jail. Apparently he is running loose, and hiding somewhere in the Lake O'Henry area. I think she got a little scared, so I offered to stay over here with her until the guy was caught." Matt said. "My word!" His mom exclaimed. "Poor Sammy must be scared to death. You are such a nice boy to watch out for Sam." His mom said. "Well, I love you Matthew." She yawned. "Love you too," Matt said as he hung up the phone. It worked. He thought to himself as he walked back downstairs and got back on the couch with Sam resting on him.

Sam woke up the next morning to find Matt sleeping underneath her. She glanced at the clock, and it read, 10:30am. She hadn't slept in too late. She was a bit tired, but it was Sunday, and tomorrow she would have to go back to work, and wouldn't be able to see Matt as much. She rested her head back down on Matt's chest, and slowly ran her slender fingers through his hair. He had such thick and shiny hair. Yet is was soft as silk. Remembering how much of her own hair had been chopped off, and how much had been shaved smooth to the skin, Sam reached up to her head with her other hand and ran her fingers along the shaved areas. Sure enough, Sam felt a little bit of stubble. She wondered if Tammy was open on Sundays. She laid there thinking about her hair, and rubbing her nape. She wondered how long it would take her to grow it long enough to the length where it was before yesterday. And did she want to grow her hair out? Gosh, she loved the way it felt. She didn't really mind the stubble. She decided that she would ask Matt's opinion when he woke up. Until then, she kept twirling Matt's hair around her finger and resting on his chest.

When Matt finally woke up, he didn't remember where he was. After the initial shock of waking up with a girl on top of him he remembered where he was and who was sleeping on top of him. Sam faked sleeping this whole time. Matt, thinking that she was asleep, couldn't off the couch because she was on top of him, and he sort of had to go to the bathroom. He ran his large hands on her now stubbly neck, and gently tapped her shoulder. Sam, pretending to have just woken up, let Matt tap her for a moment before she started to open her eyes. She turned over and saw Matt lying beneath her, smiling at her with his sleepy eyes. Sam got wide eyed and looked shocked to see a guy underneath her. Matt, seeing this, quickly said, "remember Sammy? It's me, Matt, your boyfriend? You fell asleep on me while we were watching the movie last night." "Oh," Sam said still pretending to be in a daze. Then she gave him a tired smile, and said, "I'm sorry, you could have just woken me or picked me up if you wanted to go home last night," sounding sorry. "Oh, that's alright. I was falling asleep too, and I was really comfortable. You're so snuggly Sammy, besides, your parents aren't here, and it's not like we did anything." Matt said, as he put her head in his hands, and pulled her in for a kiss. "So, how did my Sammy sleep last night?" Matt asked. Sam liked the way he said, "My Sammy." She answered, "Oh, I slept good too. You kept me nice and warm." Well, as cozy as it is in here, I have to go pee, so can you let me out baby?" Matt asked. "Oh, sure," Sam said as she moved to the other side of the couch. Then she decided to go up and take a shower, and called to Matt in the bathroom, "Matt, I'm gonna take a quick shower. There are clean towels in the second drawer if you feel like taking one." "Ok, thanks," he called back. "But I think I'm going to just run home and take one so I can put some clean clothes on, but then I'll come back." "Ok, I'll make some waffles or something while you're gone," Sam said as she walked up the stairs and into the kitchen. She got out all of the ingredients, then went upstairs to her bedroom, and into her bathroom. She turned the water on in her shower, and undressed. She reached in and felt the water. When it was warm enough, she got in. She let the hot water soak her short hair, then she squirted a small dab of shampoo into her hand. She rubbed the shampoo into her short hair, and stubbly neck. Then she let the hot water wash out the shampoo. She wondered if she should go back and have Tammy shave the back of her head for her today, or let it grow out a bit. She continued to think about that as she washed her body, then shaved her legs and underarms. Then she washed her face, rinsed off, and turned off the water. She immediately felt the cool breeze on her neck as she stepped out of the shower. She dried off, then put the towel around herself, and walked to her closet to pick out her clothes. She wanted to wear something a little sexier today, so she picked out a turquoise and purple halter top, and a pair of blue jean shorts. She wasn't allowed to wear either of those items to work because the shorts were very low rise, and short, and the halter top showed her cleavage, and most of her belly. She knew that Matt would like them though, and she wanted to wear them sometime this summer, so today was a good day to do it. She blow dried her hair, but it didn't take her very long, and applied a bit of makeup. Then she put on a pair of earrings, and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

She found Matt in the kitchen making the waffles when she got down stairs. "Oh, Matt, you didn't have to make breakfast." Sam said to him. "Oh, can't a guy make breakfast for his girl once in a while," he said teasingly. "Well, if you like to cook, I'm not going to stop you," Sam joked back as she walked over and gave Matt a hug. "Only the best for my Sammy," he said, pouring more batter onto the waffle iron. Then he reached over and rubbed Sam's neck. "A bit prickly this morning, don't you think?" he asked Sam. "Yeah, do you think I should have Tammy shave it again today, or let it grow out a little more?" Sam asked. "It's up to you. I think it looked awesome when you got it cut yesterday, but it looked great a little longer too. Whatever you think you will be the most comfortable in is fine with me Sam." Matt replied. "Well, there aren't a lot of styles to choose from, other than a crew cut with your hair shaved so short in the back. If you let it grow out just a bit, then the next time you get it cut you could try something different." Matt said. "I think you're right Matt." Sam said. I like my hair this way, but I would like to keep trying different short styles, but I'm not ready to shave my head yet. I think I will let my hair grow out for a few weeks before I cut it again. Then the timer on the waffle iron beeped, interrupting their conversation. "Breakfast is ready," Matt said as he took the next waffle out of the iron, and put it on a plate. Then Matt said, "why don't you go take a seat and I'll bring you breakfast?" Matt said to Sam. Oh all right," Sam said, walking into the living room and sitting on the couch. A few minutes later Matt came in, carrying a tray with two Belgian waffles, a plate of sausage and eggs, two glasses of orange juice, and napkins and silverware. "Let's eat," he said, handing the tray to Sam and taking a seat on the couch next to her. Matt and Samantha enjoyed their big Sunday breakfast while they watched cartoons on TV. Matt told Sam about the jail escape story he had made up. Sam was glad that he wanted to stay with her, she was getting sort of lonely. Then remembering she had to work the next day, said to Matt, "what are you going to do while I'm gone working this week?" "I'll be sitting at home, missing you baby," he said, looking her in the eye, with the sad puppy face. "What's with that face?" Sam joked. "It's not like I can just quit my job now. My parents would kill me if they found out I quitted to hang out with my boyfriend. Especially because they want me to start to learn to manage my spending money." Sam said to Matt. "Besides, I like working at camp, it's fun." "I know it's important for you to work Sam, I just wish I got to spend more time with you before I have to leave for college in the fall. I feel like I've already missed out on so much with you this summer already. Because of my trip and all. And I don't know, you have only been my girlfriend for a few days, so we have some catching up to do." Matt said. "You're right," Sam said, thinking of how she could spend more time with him. "Well, I don't have to work nights or weekends, so we could hang out then I guess," Sam said. Oh well, she thought, better not waste a whole day today.

When Samantha and Matt finished their breakfast, they decided to go for a ride on one of Sam's jet skiis. They put their swimsuits on, buckled up their life jackets, and headed out into Lake O'Henry. They splashed, and jumped waves and were having a great time, when they saw Steve and Eric, and two girls coming towards them in Steve's speed boat. As they got closer, Matt slowed the jet ski down, and drifted towards the side of the boat. The two girls were giving Sam really weird looks. "What's up Matt?" Eric said, leaning over the side of the boat. "Oh, you know, were just fooling around, enjoying the sun, how bout you all?" Matt asked. "Well, we stopped by Sam's house to see if you wanted to hang out today, and we saw one of the jet skis missing, so we just figured you were out here. And since we have nothing better to do, we decided to come find you." Steve said. "Who are your friends there Steve?" Sam said with a sarcastically. "Oh, sorry I didn't introduce you. Girls this is Matt and Sam." They looked at each other, then Emma said, "hi Matt," in a flirtatious manner. Hayley followed her and said, "so nice to meet you Matt." "Hi," Sam said, trying to be polite. "Oh, hi," Emma said as if she were being forced to. "Yeah, Hi." Hayley said. Sam, Matt," Steve said pointing to them, "this is Hayley and Emma." They both waved, and said hi. Then Steve continued, "Their families are both new to the neighborhood, and didn't know anyone, so Eric and I are helping them meet some people around here." "Oh, that's nice of you. So where are you from?" Sam asked the girls. "Oh, well we moved here from Denver." Emma said. "Oh, I've been there, it's pretty nice. We went skiing there a few years ago." Sam said as she ran her fingers through her hair, then rubbed her neck. Sam noticed the girls looked at each other and smirk. "What's so funny?" she asked them. "Oh, um nothing, just a little inside joke that's all." Hayley said. "Whatever," Matt said. "Well, I don't want to waste my afternoon just sitting here, why don't we go tubing or something?" He said. "Dude, yeah!" Eric said. "Hey Sam, why don't we go back to your house and bring out your dad's new speed boat?" Matt asked her. "Sure, you guys go back to Steve's and we'll come pick you up in a few minutes, ok?" Sam said to them. "Is your dad really going to let you just take out his brand new boat?" Hayley asked skeptically. "Oh, I'm sure he wouldn't mind," Sam said sarcastically. "He has like a billion boats. He probably wouldn't notice if we sunk this one, much less used it. Besides, both my parents are out of town for a few weeks anyways and I've got the house to myself, so they would never find out." Sam finished. "Your parents just leave you home by yourself?" Emma asked wide eyed. "Yeah, why wouldn't they? I'm their baby. I've got them wrapped around my little finger. They'll let me do anything." Sam said. "Oh, well, I guess it's no problem then." Emma said. "Nope, no problem." Sam said back. "OK, so we'll be by in about ten minutes to get you." Matt said, as he turned the jet ski back on, and drove back to Sam's. "Those girls were kind of weird, don't you think Sam?" Matt asked her as he drove the jet ski on to the ramp in the garage. (Sam's house had a large garage built over the water for all of their boats) "Yeah, I don't think I said anything mean, did I?" She asked him. "Of course not baby, you were as sweet as pie." Matt assured her, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Sam went and got a two person tube off the wall while Matt cranked down the new speed boat. Sam took a few life jackets, a ski rope, and some towels, then tossed them into the boat. Then Matt helped her in, and hopped in behind her. He turned on the engine, and carefully backed out of the garage. A few minutes later they were down at Steve's dock. "Sweet boat Sam!" Eric said, as he jogged down to the end of the dock. Sam was sitting in the boat in her little bikini, hanging her legs over the side. "Yeah, it's pretty cool, huh?" Sam replied. "Dude, that is awesome," Steve said as he approached the boat. Sam could see Emma and Hayley slowly making their way to the boat, whispering and giggling, and and every now and then glancing at Sam with a mean look on their faces. They all got into the boat, and headed out into the middle of Lake O'Henry. Sam had turned her seat around and faced Eric, Steve, Emma and Hayley. She crossed her legs and stuck them over the side of the boat. Hayley and Emma both gave her disgusted looks. Trying to start a conversation, Sam said, "So how old are you?" "Oh, were both seventeen," Hayley said quickly. "How old are you?" "Sixteen," answered Sam. She could tell that both girls had a problem with that, for some odd reason. Matt stopped the engine, and the boat coasted to a stop. Matt hooked the rope onto the tube, then knotted it to the bar at the back of the boat. "So who wants to go first?" he asked. No one answered, so Sam said, "I'll go. Who wants to go with me?" She asked. All three boys jumped out of their seats, and raced over to the tube. Sam looked at Matt, asking him to join her silently. "Hey, why doesn't one of you guys drive, and let me and Sammy go first. It is her boat." Matt said. "Ok, I want to drive though," Eric said. "Fine, the keys are in the ignition." Matt said, as he walked to the tube, and threw it in the water. Sam was still sitting in her chair. All of a sudden, Matt picked her up effortlessly, and threw her in the water. "Ahh," she screamed as she splashed into the water. "Matt! I hate you!" she said jokingly as she laughed. Up in the boat, she could see Emma and Hayley looking down at her and laughing. Then Hayley said, "Gosh Matt, you are pretty strong to just pick up Sam and toss her off the side of the boat like that," as she squeezed his arm. Matt gave her a weird look, and said, "Um, I guess so. Sam's pretty small though." Then he stepped up to the edge of the boat and dove into the water. Sam was right next to where he landed in the water, so when he came up, he joked, "did I splash you baby?" Sam just laughed, and said, "oh, I'm gonna get you or that," as she jumped on Matt's shoulders and tried to push him under. They laughed and tried to push each other under for a few minutes then Eric called down to them, "are you gonna get on the tube or just play there all day?" "We're coming, we're coming," Matt called back. Then Hayley tossed a life jacket down in the water to them. "Just want to make sure you don't drown out there Matt." She giggled. Matt took the jacket and put it around Sam's shoulders. "Hey, do you think you could toss down a smaller one? This is way to big for Sam." Matt said. "Oh, sorry, I guess we forgot about her." Emma said as she threw a small life jacket down to them. "Thanks," Matt called up. Then he and Sam swam to the tube together. Matt helped Sam on, them climbed on. "Are you ready?" he asked Sam. "Yeah." Sam answered. "Ok then," Matt said as he put his arm around her and held on to the handles on both far sides. "Go ahead," he yelled to Eric, who started the boat. Eric had driven around the lake a few times, and Matt and Sam, were having a blast together, when Sam noticed Emma and Hayley whispering to each other in the boat. Then Emma got up and said something to Eric. Eric got out of the driver's seat, and Emma sat down in it. Sam saw Eric show her how to drive, then he sat down. She slowed the boat down a tad bit, so that next lap was a bit less exciting. Matt said to Sam, "do you want to go faster?" "Sure" she replied. Matt signaled for them to speed the boat up. Emma looked at them over her shoulder and smiled and nodded. All of a sudden, the boat got really fast. Much faster than the speed you should tube at. Sam didn't worry too much, there weren't any other boats on the lake. But then the boat started to make really sharp turns, and it went over some of its own big waves. It was really bumpy, and if Matt hadn't been holding on to her, Sam probably would have fallen off. Matt tried to yell for them to stop, but they didn't hear him. Neither of the guys in their boat were paying too much attention to Sam and Matt in the tube, thy were just looking out the front of the boat. Hayley was supposed to be watching them. She just laughed and waved at them in the tube, then she reclined back in the chair and stuck her feet out over the side of the boat. The ride kept getting bumpier, and more dangerous. Emma just kept making it worse and worse. They were driving close to some docks, and were coming up to Matt's dock when Matt let go with the hand that was around Sam, and tried to give the stop sign. As he lat go though, they hit a huge wave, that sent both of them flying in opposite directions. Matt flew outwards, and hit the water pretty hard. But Sam flew towards the dock itself. Her body was spinning in mid-air as she flew towards the dock. She forced her legs in front of her just as she slammed into the dock. Her left side got slammed into the dock the hardest, although it was by no means the only place she was injured. Matt saw her hit, and although he too was in pain, and couching up mouthfuls of water, raced towards her body lying in the water. Matt's mom was on the back porch of their house at the time, and ran down to help them. Mrs. Dennis got to her first, but couldn't pull her out of the water. She screamed for help. Matt got there and pushed Sam's head above the surface. "She's not breathing mom," he yelled scared to death. Their next door neighbor ran out and saw what was going on. She called for an ambulance, and soon half the neighborhood was there. They got Sam's bloody body out of the water, and laid her on the dock. One of the men from down the street was a lifeguard, so he did CPR on Sam. After a few minutes of rescue breathing, Sam finally came to. She looked up and saw all of the people hovered over her. She tried to scream, but she was in too much of a shocked state and in far too much pain to do so. Matt leaned down, and started talking to her, so that she wouldn't fall asleep. The ambulance finally arrived, and ran a stretcher down to the end of the dock. Sam was carefully hoisted onto it, then whisked back to the ambulance. Matt and his mom chased after them, and rode in the car to the hospital. One of the EMS guys questioned Matt about what had happened. When Matt had finished the story, the guy said that he noticed that Sam and Matt both had life jackets in. If Sam hadn't been wearing one, she would probably have died. As they approached the emergency room, Matt realized how lucky he was to have made sure Sam got a life jacket.

After about five hours in ER, Sam was finally taken to a recovery room. Matt and his mom followed her, and went into the room. Matt sat on the side of the bed, while Mrs. Dennis stood up. "I'm so sorry about all of this Sam." He said. "Oh, I'm ok Matt. I'll survive. Besides, it's not your fault this happened." Sam said. "I know, but I still feel bad." Matt said. Then Mrs. Dennis cut in, "Sam, the doctor said you can go home tomorrow morning, so I'll be back to get you at around ten. Oh, and I'll call your parents when I get home tonight, and see how soon they can come home." Mrs. Dennis said. "Oh, thanks, but this is very important business for my dad, so it's important that they can stay and finish the deal. I'm fine, really, thanks though." Sam said meekly. "Well, I'll have you talk to them in the morning, but for now shut your eyes and get some sleep. Your body needs lots of rest to heal." Mrs. Dennis said. Sam let her heavy eyelids close, and fell fast asleep. Mrs. Dennis whispered to Matt, "lets go home. You can come back tomorrow." "Well, I'll ride home with you to get my car and drive it back here. I want to be here in case Sam needs something." Matt said to his mom. "Alright, lets go now though, and let her sleep." She said.

As Mrs. Dennis pulled into the driveway, Matt could hear laughter coming from their backyard. He ran back there, and saw Eric, Steve, Hayley and Emma still sitting in the boat, fooling around. Matt approached the boat, and hopped on, since they had tied it to Matt's dock. Matt looked at the four of them and yelled, "what the hell are you doing? You're still sitting out here like nothing happened. Poor Sam is in the hospital, after spending five hours in the emergency room because of you," he pointed to Emma , who got a what did I do look on her face. "And you don't even have the decency to follow her to the hospital to see if she was ok? Dammit, you almost killed her. What were you thinking Emma?" Matt yelled. "Um, I didn't mean to, it was an accident." Emma said with a sly grin on her face. "I'm really sorry though, I didn't mean to hurt her, I was just having a little fun." "Bull shit!" Matt said. "You and I both know that isn't true. You knew you were going way too fast and taking too many turns. I think you wanted to hurt us." Matt said. "Oh, that is so not true!" Hayley said defensively. "Why in the world would Emma want to hurt you?" "Not me, Sam." Matt said. "I know you were trying to do something to her. Why anyone would want to hurt Sam is beyond me, but for some reason, you don't like her, don't deny it, it was pretty damn obvious." "Look, I said I was sorry." Emma said. "Can you just forget about it?" She asked. "Besides, now that Sam's out of the way we can get to know each other a little better," Emma said as she walked over to Matt, and sat in his lap. She was about to kiss him when he picked her up and threw her over the side of the boat. She screamed at him, "what was that for? That hurt!" Emma said as she swam to the back of the boat and got back on. Matt had an angry look on his face, and said, yeah, too bad if it hurt. How do you think Sam feels?" "I'll be willing to forgive you if you forget about Sam and concentrate on me for the rest of the night Matt," Emma said sweetly. "You just don't get it, do you, I don't like you. Sam is my girlfriend, and I care about her." Matt said. "I don't see why, I mean, she looks like a boy. Come on, girls don't shave their hair." "What's wrong with you, Sam's gorgeous. I happen to like her hair that way. And if anyone here should be apologizing, it should be you." Matt said. "I'm going back to the hospital, and if you know what's good for you, you'll stop by and apologize for the terrible way you treated her this afternoon." Matt said as she jumped of the boat, walked to his car and drove off.

Matt decided to stop downtown and get some stuff for Sam on his way to the hospital. Matt first went to the flower shop and bought Sam a big bouquet of red roses. After that he went into Bath and Body Works and got a big basket of bath products. When he left Bath and Body Works, he got some candy from the fudge shop next door. Then he bought her a big stuffed teddy bear from the toy store down the street. Next he went to blockbuster and rented a few videos, then ran into the grocery store and got a few grocery bags full of junk food, and picked up a few magazines for her. He paid then quickly got back in his car and drove to the hospital. He went straight up to Sam's room with the flowers, candy and teddy bear. She was still sleeping, so he sat down in the chair and waited. After about twenty minutes he too fell asleep. Early in the morning, Matt woke up to a loud knock on the door. He looked at Sam, who was also opening her eyes. "Oh, Matt, you didn't stay here all night did you?" she asked. "Of course I did, I wasn't going to let you wake up all alone in here. I wanted to be here in case you did." he replied. Then they heard the knocking at the door again. Matt glanced at his watch. Six o-clock sharp. Must be his mom, he thought as he walked to the door and opened it. But no, it was the nurse. She was coming in to give Sam some more pain relievers, then get her ready to go. Matt went out to his car, and pulled it around so that Sam could get in. The nurse brought her out in a wheelchair, carrying the stuff Matt brought for her. Soon, she was in the car and they were on their way back to Matt's house.

When they got back, Matt's mom came running out. "Oh, Sam, are you feeling a little better?" "Yes, I can't really feel anything though." Sam laughed. "Well, Matt, can you bring Sam inside so she can have some breakfast?" Mrs. Dennis said. Matt looked at Sam. "You know, I'm not really hungry, more tired than anything, so I was hoping that Matt could take me back to my house so I could take a nap." Sam said. "Are you sure? I mean, you are more than welcome to just sleep here if you want." Mrs. Dennis said. "Mom, she's going to be in a bed for a while, she probably wants to be in her own." Matt said. "Alright, but you take care of her Matthew." She said. "I won't let her lift a finger," Matt promised, then got back into his car and drove down the street to Sam's house.

When Matt pulled into the driveway, then got out of the car and walked around to the other side to help Sam out. "If you just let me put my arm around you Matt, I think I can hobble to the door." Sam said. "Oh, no you don't," Matt said, as he lifted her right out of her seat, and carried her inside. "Geez Sam, all these casts make you pretty heavy," Matt teased. Then Matt put her down on the couch, and went back to his car. He brought in the flowers and stuff for Sam, then went back out and brought in the junk food and movies and stuff. "Oh Matt, you didn't have to go through all that trouble just for me." Sam said. "Hey, when my baby isn't feeling well, I've got to pamper her a bit." Matt said. "Now, do you want to stay on the couch, or go up to your bedroom?" Matt asked. "Well, I guess my bedroom." Sam said. "Hold on tight!" Matt said as he lifted her up again, and carried her up the stairs to her bedroom, and put her down on her bed. Then he ran back downstairs and brought up all of the stuff for Sam. Then he walked over to her, and said, "Is there anything you need Sammy? I'd be happy to make you some breakfast or something." "No thanks, I just want you to stay here and keep me company, that's all. Then they heard the phone ring. Matt jumped up to get it, and answered, "Thank you for calling the Hunter residence, this is Matthew speaking, how may I help you?" Sam giggled as she listened to Matt's butler voice. "Oh hi Mrs. Hunter, how are you?" He asked. "Oh, so you did hear about Sam's little accident. Yes, she's fine, I'm taking good care of her. Would you like to talk to her?" Matt said, handing the phone to Sam. "Hi mom." Sam said over the phone. "I'm fine, really. Matt is here to take care of me. No he doesn't mind. I want you to stay and finish the deal, I promise, I'm fine. No, Matt said he doesn't mind taking care of me. Fine, talk to him," Sam said, giving Matt the phone. "Mrs. Hunter I would be glad to stay here to take care of Samantha. Really, I don't have a job or anything, so my schedule is completely empty. I really don't mind. I'm glad to get to spend some time with my buddy Sam before I have to go to college. Don't worry, she's safe with me. My mom is just down the street if we need anything, and I'm sure she'll come by a few times a day to check on how Sam's doing." Matt said. "Ok, I'll see you in two weeks, here's Sam." Matt finished, giving the phone back to Sam. "Hi mommy. Yes, I'm sure this is ok. Matt and I will have fun. Oh, we'll play cards and stuff. Don't worry about it mom. Ok, love you lots, see you in two weeks, bye." Sam said as she turned the phone off. "Oh, Matt, you're the best!" Sam exclaimed, as she leaned over to hug him. "So when are you going to call your boss?" Matt asked. "Oh my gosh, that totally slipped my mind. Guess I should let her know that I won't be at camp tomorrow, huh?" Sam said as she picked up the phone and dialed her bosses number. She told her boss about the accident, and how sorry she was that she wouldn't be back for a while. Her boss didn't make a big deal out of it, and just said that she hoped Sam would get well soon. "Well, what do you want to do Matt?" Sam asked him. "It's up to you. I bought you soma magazines and rented a few movies, so you could do that if you wanted." Matt said. Just then they heard the doorbell ring. "I'll be right back," Matt said as he dodged out Sam's door, and ran downstairs to see who was there. A few minutes later Eric, Steve, Emma and Hayley entered Sam's room. Emma walked over to Sam's bed, and said, "I'm so sorry Sam. I was really mean to you and you didn't deserve that. I feel absolutely horrible about what happened. I honestly didn't think you would end up in the hospital." Then she handed Sam a gift bag. "This is from all of us," Emma said, motioning to Steve, Eric, Hayley, and herself. "Oh, thank you, can I open it now?" Sam asked. "Duh," Hayley said. Sam opened it and inside was some candy, a few books, a deck of cards, a puzzle book, and a few CD's. "Gosh, thanks guys." That was very nice of you. "Your welcome," Hayley said. "Well, we better get going, hope you can get well soon Sam." Steve said as the four of them walked back downstairs. "Well, that was a nice surprise, huh?" Sam said. "Yeah, you were pretty nice about it. I wouldn't have let them off the hook that easily. What they did was pretty mean to you, and you didn't deserve that." Matt said, agitated. "Oh, well, I'd rather forget about it for now, because you're here, so everything is great." Sam said. "Oh Sammy, you are so sweet," Matt said, as he leaned down and kissed her. Then Matt got up, and walked over to Sam's tv. "What movie do you want to watch?" He asked. "I got Zoolander, Austin Powers 3, and Meet The Parents." "You pick," Sam said. Matt chose Zoolander, put it in the VCR, then laid next to Sam on her bed and watched it. By the time it was over, Sam had fallen asleep with her head resting on Matt's shoulder. He gently stroked her hair, then rubbed her neck. The stubble felt like sandpaper. Oh well, he thought to himself, it will feel velvety soft in a week or so. Then gently put Sam's head on her pillow, and got off her bed. He walked downstairs, and made himself a sandwich. He watched TV for about a half an hour, then went outside, and laid on a pool chair in the sun.

A few hours later, Sam woke up. She had to go to the bathroom, so she carefully hobbled into her bathroom on her right leg, and used her right arm to hold on to the wall. The sling around her left shoulder rubbed hard against Sam's stubbly neck. It irritated her neck quite a bit. Oh well, she thought. I won't be moving around much anyways. When she was done, she wobbled back to her bed, and laid back down. Then she got back up and went over to her window, where she saw Matt laying down below. She opened the window and called, "Matt, what are you doing?" "Sam, how did you get out of your bed?" He yelled. "I just jumped on one foot," She replied. "So what are you doing?" she repeated. "Oh, just sunbathing," would you like to join me?" He said. "Yeah, just give me a second and I'll be right down." Sam said. "Oh no you don't Sam. I'm coming up there to get you." Matt said firmly. Then she saw him head inside, and heard him running up the stairs. Sam stood up on her right foot, and hobbled to the door. "Sam, I thought I told you to stay put," Matt whined. "Oh stop it, I'm fine. I just need a little help getting down the stairs." Sam said. Matt let Sam put her right arm around his shoulder, and helped her walk to the stairs. "You know you really shouldn't be doing this just yet Sammy," Matt said. "Fine," Sam laughed, giving up and letting Matt carry her downstairs. When they got outside, Matt put Sam down on his chair, and pulled another one over for himself. They layed out in the sun for a few hours, then Matt carried Sam inside, and they had the pasta Mrs. Dennis had brought over earlier for their dinner. The whole week pretty much was just like that Monday. Sam slept in, then her and Matt watched a movie, then she took a nap. After her nap she would come outside and sunbathe, then they would come in for dinner. After dinner they would watch TV or play cards. Then Matt would carry Sam up to her bedroom, and she would go to bed.

Every day Sam walked a little bit more, but the more she walked the more her sling rubbed up against her neck, and the more irritated it got. A week after Sam got out of the hospital, Sam was laying on the couch in the basement with Matt, watching a movie. Matt reached up to rub Sam's nape, when he noticed how red it was. "Sam, what happened to your neck? It's all red and bumpy. "Oh, it's just from my sling rubbing against it." Sam said, still watching the movie. "It is starting to get really itchy, so I think I might have you run me down to the barber shop and see what Tammy thinks I should do." Sam said. "Why don't we go tomorrow morning?" Matt suggested. "You don't mind taking me, do you Matt?" "Nope, not a problem." Matt said. Then Sam laid her head on matt's chest, and watched the movie, then fell asleep.

Sam woke up at about nine the next morning. She wasn't really hungry, so she got dressed, and hobbled out to Matt's car. Matt drove her down to the barber shop. Matt offered to carry Sam inside, but she said, "no thank you Matt, just let me put my arm over your shoulder and I'll be able to walk." Sam said, as she stood up. They walked into the shop, and saw Tammy giving a haircut to a young boy, who was probably nine or ten years old. She waved to Tammy, then sat down. The boy's mother and two sisters were sitting next to her. Sam watched the little boy getting his hair cut. The little boy must be getting a mid summer haircut, Sam said to herself, looking at the large pile of hair under the chair. Sam heard Tammy turn the clippers on. She watched as Tammy ran them up the little boy's neck. Tammy pushed them almost all the way up, then pulled them away and made the next pass. The little boy was smiling, so she could tell he was enjoying the haircut. When she had buzzed around the boy's head, she picked up the scissors and started to cut the hair on top. She left it maybe two inches at the longest on top. Then Tammy put the scissors down and picked up the smaller clippers. She turned them on and ran them up the little boy's hairline. Then she trimmed his sideburns. When she turned the clippers off, she picked up a comb, and parted the boy's hair on the side. Then she made a few more snips, and put the scissors down. She unsnapped the cape, then brushed the little boy's neck and shoulders off, and handed him a lollipop. Then he hopped out of the chair, and walked over to his mom. Then his mm brought his sisters over, and had Tammy trim an inch or so off the ends of each girl's hair, then they walked over to the counter, and paid Tammy, then walked out the door. Tammy walked over to Sam, and said, "my gosh am, what happened to you?" "Oh, I got thrown off a tube, and landed on a dock last week." Sam said. "Oh, you poor thing, that must have hurt, huh?" Tammy said. "Yeah, but it's getting better." Sam said. There's just this one problem," Sam said, as she turned her head so Tammy could see the back, where it was red and bumpy. "Oh my gosh, Sam, that sling did some major damage," Tammy said. Then she leaned down to take a closer look, "You've got a lot of ingrown hairs from that," Tammy said. "Well, let's see what we can do." Tammy said, as she walked over to the station, and Matt carried Sam an put her in the chair. "Do you have anything in mind?" Sam asked her. "Well, I'm going to shave most of the back, then I can leave the top a bit longer, so you can spike it or style it a bit, make it kind of a pixie, or I can just make it a flattop." Tammy answered. Sam thought about it for a moment, then said, "What do you think Matt?" "Well, they would both look great on you, but I couldn't tell you which one to pick." Matt said. Then Sam asked Tammy, "What do you think would be better?" Well, the pixie would be a little more feminine, but it wouldn't look so good with the back shaved, and clearly, the back should be shaved, so maybe the flattop is the better choice." Tammy answered. "Would it look ok on me?" Sam worried. "Absolutely Sam. You have the perfect face shape, and a nice slender neck. You could easily carry off a flattop." Tammy said. Then Sam turned and looked at Matt who said, "Sam, I totally agree with Tammy. You would look fantastic with a flattop. Not to say that you don't look great already, but under the current circumstances, I think the flattop is the way to go." Ok, I'll get the flattop. But Matt, I want you to leave, so I can surprise you when Tammy's done." Sam said. "Oh, alright," Matt said, sounding disappointed, as he walked out the door. Then he came back in and asked, "when should I come back for you Sam?" Sam looked at Tammy, who answered, "Oh, why don't you come back in an hour or so, we should be finished by then." With that, Matt walked back out the door. Tammy walked over and pulled the curtains shut, and locked the door, so no one else could see Sam getting her first flattop. "Tammy said, as she pulled a tissue from the dispenser, and wrapped it tightly around Sam's neck, then snapped the cape over it. Sam said, "you know Tammy, I'm not so sure about the flattop, now that I think about it. I don't really like the way they look when the hair on top is so much longer then the hair in back, and the hair on the back of my head is going to be shaved." "Well, I could buzz the hair on top shorter, so it would look better with the shaved back." Tammy said. "Alright, go ahead and do that." Sam said. Then Tammy pulled the big set of clippers out of the drawer, and put a guide on them. Tammy turned them on, and they popped to life. She placed them at Sam's forehead, and was about to start buzzing when she saw the terrified look on Sam's face. She turned the clippers off, and said, "Sam, you don't have to go this short. I could figure out some other way to do it, so you had some hair left longer." Tammy said, trying to help. "What will it look like though? Am I going to look like a boy?" "Oh dear, of course not. You have such a pretty face, and the shape of your head is perfect. Trust me, it will look great on you." Tammy said. "Just go on with it." Sam said, as she tried to relax, but her body was still tense all over. She heard the POP, then the low hummmmmmmm, that became louder as it reached Sam's forehead. "Here we go, no turning back now Sam. Are you sure you want to go through with this honey?" Sam nodded. Tammy placed the clippers at Sam's hairline. Then she slowly pushed them back, leaving behind a path of one inch long hairs behind in it's wake. Buzzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzz. Shivers ran through Sam's body as the clippers passed over the top of her head. She had never been buzzed up there, it was a new sensation she enjoyed. She quickly felt her pants become wet. The erotic buzzing feeling, peeling her hair off, excited Sam's pussy. Tammy ran the clippers slowly over every inch of Sam's head. After a few passes on top that seemed to take an eternity, pushed Sam's head into her chest, and began to run the clippers up the back of Sam's head. Sam's body melted as Tammy ran the clippers over her occipital bone. Tammy buzzed path after path of four to six inch strands of Sam's hair. Finally, Tammy buzzed the last path of Sam's hair and turned the clippers off. The remnants of Sam's bowl cut were long gone. The clippers were not off for long though, Tammy just stopped to take the guide off. With another loud POP, the clippers were turned back on. Tammy started at the back this time. She pushed the clippers up the back of Sam's head, buzzing the one inch hairs down to stubble. The one inch strands being buzzed free floated down the cape. Sam felt the buzzing clippers stripping her head of what was once her pride and glory. She felt the cold steel blades of the clippers chewing through her hair. The cold blades made Sam's nipples harden, and caused her to have another orgasm. As Tammy buzzed up each path of hair, Sam became wetter and wetter. She was enjoying this immensely. She stuck her hand down her pants, and tickled her pussy. Sam felt the cool brees on her newly shorn head. Tammy finished the back, and went to the sides. Buzzzzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzzz. Sam lost it as the clippers buzzed off her sideburns. She closed her eyes, and continued her orgasm. Then Tammy moved to the other side of Sam's head, and buzzed the hair off there. When Tammy was finally finished buzzing the back and sides of Sam's head, all that was left was stubble there, and some longer hair on top. Sat in the red leather chair, with great anticipation of what Tammy would do next. Sam assumed that all that was left was to shave her, but she was wrong, as she heard Tammy snap a guide on the clippers and turn them on again. Tammy placed the clippers on Sam's forehead, and pushed them back. The buzzing roared in Sam's ears, as the clippers cut her hair shorter and shorter. Buzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzz. Sam felt more cool air blowing on her head after every pass Tammy made with the clippers. Sam knew that from the way she could feel the wind on the top of her head, the hair there must be buzzed pretty short. Finally, Tammy buzzed the last path of hair, and then turned the clippers off. Then she took a little shaving brush, and brushed off Sam's head and neck, then her face, where little hairs had fallen. Then Tammy took the cape off of Sam's neck, and flicked it to get the hair off, then she snapped it back on. She replaced the guard on the clippers with yet an even shorter one, and popped them to life. Sam was starting to worry if Tamy was going to shave her bald. She relaxed though, as she felt the clippers run over her head, buzzzzzzzz buzzzzzzzzz buzzzzzzzzzz. The buzzing put Sam in almost a trance like state. Sam's head gently rocked back and forth when Sam's eyes were shut. Tammy didn't notice though, so she kept on buzzing. She buzzed path after path, and little short hair were all that floated down now. Tammy finally finished, and put the clippers on the counter. Then she took the guard off the clippers, and picked up a big comb off the shelf. Tammy turned the clippers on once more, and used the comb to buzz over Sam's head, shaping the flattop. She buzzed over it several times, to make sure it was perfect. Then she turned the clippers off, and put the comb back on the shelf. Next, Tammy took the cape off of Sam's neck, and put it on the chair next to her. Then she grabbed a big white towel, and placed it around Sam's shoulders. Then she soaked another towel in hot water, but this time, wrapped it around Sam's head. Then she took it off Sam's head. Next, Tammy took a huge blob of hot shaving lather from the machine, and applied it to the sides and back of Sam's head. While she was letting the hot lather soften Sam's hair, she stropped the straight razor on the leather strap, making sure it was extra sharp. When she was satisfied that it was sharp enough, she ran it under boiling hot water, then dried it off. Tammy then carefully started shaving Sam's neck. That feeling of hot steel scraping the stubble off of her head made Sam weak in the knees. Sam had another orgasm. The way it felt to have her head shaved was the most erotic thing Sam had ever experienced. She was so weak she could barely hold her head up. Tammy was quickly finished with the back, and moved on to shaving Sam's sideburns. Sam felt her head become bright red as the cool breeze hit her freshly shaved skin. Sam almost could not breath as Tammy shaved her sideburns completely off, and shaved around her entire head except the top. Sam melted in ecstasy as Tammy shaved around the very top of her head, tapring the hair on the flattop. Sam was enjoying herself so much, she wished that the moment would last forever. Unfortunately, all good things do eventually come to an end, as Tammy finished shaving Sam's hair did that day. Tammy shaved the last bits if hair off of Sam's head, then put the razor in the sink, and took a clean hot towel, and gently rubbed the extra shaving lather off of Sam's head. Then she dried it off, and got a few drops of lavender talc, and rubbed it into the freshly shaved skin on Sam's head. It talc stung as it encountered the newly shaved skin on Sam's head, that had never been exposed before. The talc cooled her skin off though, so it wasn't so red. Tammy also managed to shave off the red bumpies from the sling, so Sam's head was completely smooth. Tammy took the towel off of Sam's shoulders and handed her the mirror. Sam slowly stood up, and almost fell over, not being used to such a light head. She made her way to the bathroom, and looked in the mirror. Who was that stranger in the mirror. Was that Sam? Sam's mind didn't process it. She was still in a trance. She finally recognized that pretty face on the other side of the mirror staring back at her. A smile fell over Sam's face, as she examined every angle of her new haircut. Tammy did an excellent job shaving my head, Sam said to herself as she rubbed the tender shaved skin on her head. Tammy was tight, this does suit me well, Sam thought. Without the hair to distract from her beautiful features, Sam's beautiful brown eyes looked much bigger, and her neck looked so elegant. The little bit of hair on top was just enough to finish the haircut. Sam beamed as she caressed her shaved head, then rubbed up higher, and ran her fingers over the velvety soft pelt of hair that lay on top of her head. The little hair on top was new hair, so it was baby soft, and shiny. Sam loved the way that her whole head shined in the light. She was still feeling her shaved head when Matt entered the shop. Sam, who was too intrigued by her shaved head, that she didn't hear Matt walk in. He walked to the back of the shop, and slowly entered the open bathroom. Sam saw his handsome face staring at her in the mirror. "Oh Sam, you look fantastic." Matt said, as he touched Sam's smooth, soft shaved skin with his strong, rough hands. That feeling of Matt's gentle touch made Sam weak at the knees. She allowed herself to fall into his arms. Matt held her tightly with his strong arms, and said to her, "Samantha you look beautiful," as he cradled her head in his hands, and stared into her eyes. Then Matt said, "Oh, I almost forgot, this is for you," handing her a bag from Englewoods, an expensive clothing store downtown. Sam reached inside and pulled out a box. Matt held the bottom while she lifted the top off. Inside was a beautiful lilac sundress, with a little silver choker on top of it. "I just thought that you needed a pretty new dress to go with that pretty new haircut of yours," Matt said. "Why don't you put it on, and we can go out to lunch?" Matt said. So Matt walked over to the desk and paid Tammy well, then stood by the door and waited for Sam to come out. A moment later, Sam appeared in the doorway. It was the perfect dress to go with her new haircut. It was low cut, had a strap on one shoulder, and was cut at an angle, with ruffles on the bottom. "You look incredible," Matt said, as he walked over to Sam, and helped her out to his car. "Thanks so much Tammy, I'll be back tomorrow morning for another shave, alright?" Sam asked. "Yup, no more skipping shaves this time though, or you'll end up with red bumps on your head," Tammy. laughed. "Come by whenever, enjoy your afternoon, and your new haircut." And with that, Matt and drove off in his convertible, with the top down, letting the whole world see the beautiful girl in the passenger seat.
