Bill just moved to Fremont which is a suburb a Seattle in June. He found out about the Painted Cyclists in the Summer Solstice parade there every year and thought it would be fun. The Painted Cyclist are part of the parade. A bunch of people ride on their bikes through the parade route completely naked and nude. The night before the parade, there is a paint party where the participants go to help paint each other. That is where Bill met Heather. Heather needed some help getting painted (and so did Bill) so the two volunteer to help each other. Heather had already thought it out and want a bunch of flowers painted on her so she stripped off her clothes and started describing what she wanted Bill to do. Bill gave her some new ideas. Neither one was with a group of people so Bill suggested they paint themselves the same. But Bill wouldn’t be a bunch of flowers so they had to think of something else. Heather suggested they could be Tigers, but they would not look the same at all since she had long blonde hair and Bill had short brown hair. Jokingly, Bill said that they should shave their heads, then they would look more similar. Heather thought for a second and then agreed, they would look very similar and painting their heads could look cool. So she said sure. Surprised, Bill suggested they go to his place. Heather quickly dressed and they went to Bill’s. Bill suggested they do it outside so he wouldn’t have to clean up all of the hair.
Upon entering the house, Heather quickly stripped saying that she did want hair all over her clothes, grabbed a chair and went onto the deck. Then Bill came out with the clippers. Heather saw the clippers and asked why hadn’t Bill brought out shaving cream and a razor. This shocked Bill that she was ready to go completely bald. Heather explained that it would be easier to paint a smooth head, plus, it would look ten times better painted that way. Bill knew he would have to do the same, so he went to get everything. Then Heather suggested to Bill that he strip because she felt a little uncomfortable be naked. He was prepared to get naked anyway to be painted. He quickly stripped and went back to the deck. He grabbed the clippers and walked to Heather. He then asked her on last time if she really wanted to do this. She said yes so he turned on the clippers. He held them up to her forehead and pushed across her head. She let out a quick scream. She apologized explaining how she had never had her head shaved before. He quickly finished with the clippers and applied the shaving cream to her head. He quickly shaved off all of the stubble leaving her head completely smooth. Now it was his turned. Heather quickly shaved his head and asked about the paint. Bill had brought some paint from the party to use. When Bill came back out, she noticed Bill’s legs, chest, and back were all hairy. She told him that they would need to shave that off. Bill reluctantly let her remembering that Heather had just shaved her head smooth, even though she looked amazing, it was still pretty radical for a girl to do so he let her shave him. When she was done, she said that she didn’t want to go first. So Bill laid out a tarp and laid down. Heather did a beautiful job painting him. Now she laid done. Bill painted her. She was completely painted except for her head. The second Bill touched the wet paintbrush to her smooth head she freaked almost forgetting about shaving her head.
After no sleep the night before, it was race day. They hopped on their bikes and rode over to the parade start. Everybody was staring at Heather as they rode in. Being completely naked, this made Heather uncomfortable. Then she realized everyone else was also naked. That is when she realized they were all staring at her bald head in disbelief. The bike ride was fun. When it was over, they went to Gasworks Park to wash off. After Heather washed her head, a bunch of people came over to talk to Heather about her head shave. She said that she had no clue what it looked like to one person. A little while later, that person came back with a mirror. She loved absolutely loved it, but knew it was a permanent thing. Everyone said their goodbye’s and left.
Throughout the year she let her hair grow out until it was similar to what she had before, except shorter. One day, she went to the salon and said that she was not happy with this cut anymore and wanted something different. She talked to the stylist, Stacy, and suggested the bald look. Stacy thought she was crazy at first. Heather was a very pretty girl. Why would she want to cut off all of her hair? Heather told her about her previous head shave and explained to Stacy how much she loved the feel and look of the bald cut. Stacy still thought she was crazy, but took out the clippers and shaved all her hair off anyway. Heather shocked Stacy even more by saying that she wanted it smooth. Stacy, surprised, smeared shaving cream and shaved off all of the stubble. Heather paid and left. Heather would come back once a week to get it smooth.
Heather’s friends thought she looked amazing, so that week they all went to the salon. They had gone just because they were interested in watching their friend shave her head. After watching, her one friend Brittany wanted to know what it felt like to be bald, so she asked Stacy to cut her hair just like Heather. The Next week Heather came alone. Stacy decided to ask her if she like her head to be smooth. Heather replied with a yes. Heather liked this look and wanted to keep it for another couple months, she was just tired of the weekly salon visits to shave her head. Stacy asked if Heather wanted something more permanent and told Heather about a cream that would stop hair growth for about six months. Heather thought six months was kind of long for this look, but agreed knowing that she wouldn’t have to go to the salon for a while. She told her friends about the cream so Brittany went the next day with Heather so she could keep Heather company with the bald look for the next six months since Heather was already regretting having to stay bald for six months. Stacy shaved Brittany’s head again and applied the cream to her head as well. Brittany loved staying bald for a while since it was May and it was already starting to get hot. Sometimes, Brittany and Heather would get tired of the bald look, so they would paint their heads every once in a while. At this point, they were already bored with the look and just wanted their hair back.
June came and it was time for the Solstice Parade. Brittany and Heather decided to be patriotic by painting red and white stripes down their body, then painting their head blue with white stars. Brittany was a little nervous about riding naked through the town, but did it not wanting to wimp out with Heather, she had fun.
By next spring, neither Brittany or Heather had hair starting to grow back, they figured it was at least six months and it was just taking longer for their hair to grow back. Once again they were in the Solstice Parade. This year they even got their friends to shave their heads smooth and they painted flowers all over their bodies. A couple of day after the parade, Brittany noticed a little patch of hair growing on her head, she thought it was the beginning of the hair growth process. She excitedly called Heather who quickly felt her head and realized a similar patch. Heather frantically called Brittany the next day saying that the one spot kept growing but the rest of her hair wasn’t growing back. Brittany and Heather met up at the salon and asked Stacy what was happening. Stacy explained how it was a hair removal cream that killed most roots. But in most cases one patch would grow back between 6 and 18 months. She told them their only option was another treatment. So she shaved both of their head and gave them another treatment of the cream. Later that week, one of their friends named Jacky went to the salon after hearing what happened to Heather and Brittany. She had Stacy shave her head and put the same cream on her head knowing the affects. Heather and Brittany didn’t know about this though. Jacky called all of their friends and told them to get the treatment. The next week, Jacky suggests they all hang out that night. Heather and Brittany were shocked when they saw all of their friends bald. They were even more shocked when they learned that they all had the cream put on their heads as well
